James Ruley, a senior majoring in history at Bob Jones University, was recently recognized by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for "Outstanding Work in American History."

For the second straight year, Bob Jones University Bruins' sophomore guard Kendra Jeffcott has been named to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) DI South all-region team. Jeffcott led the BJU Bruins averaging 12.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

Three Bob Jones University students were recently awarded First Place for their Public Service Campaign at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System's 74th Annual International School/College Radio/Webcast Conference awards ceremony held March 8 in New York City.

Robert Gonzales, a junior graphic design major at Bob Jones University, was recently awarded the ADDY(R) Award for Creative Excellence by the Greenville chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

Joseph Poschel, a junior graphic design major at Bob Jones University, was recently awarded the ADDY(R) Award for Creative Excellence by the Greenville chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

Jon Sparkman, a 1985 graduates of Bob Jones University, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Devine Millimet, one of the largest full-service law firms in northern New England.

Tim Horner was recently promoted to captain by the United States Marine Corps. Horner, a 2009 Bob Jones University graduate, is stationed at MCAS Cherry Point, N.C. and flies with the Harrier training squadron (VMAT-203). Horner is expected to remain at Cherry Point for the next three years in an operational squadron.

Brian Buda's composition entitled, "All My Heart This Night Rejoices", was selected as the 2013 winner for the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir's annual Christmas Carol Competition.

Phil Neves, a 2013 Cinema Production graduate of Bob Jones University and resident of Sunbury, Pa., won the first place award for short film in the Intercollegiate National Religious Broadcasters (iNRB) Student Production Awards competition.

Heather Day Gilbert recently published her first historical novel, God's Daughter, Book One in the Vikings of the New World Saga series.

David Gilbert was recently named partner in the law firm of Kirby, Gilbert, and Ashley, L.C. in Beckley, W.Va. Gilbert received his BA in Prelaw from Bob Jones University in 1995. He graduated from Columbia Law School in 1998 and is licensed to practice in New York and West Virginia
