The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) named Bob Jones University Bruins men's basketball player Aaron "Cooper" George to the Scholar-Athlete Team for the 2017-18 season. This recognition is given to student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.40 GPA and are a junior, senior or graduate student.

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) named Bob Jones University Bruins men's basketball player Nathan Ellenwood to the All-American team for Division II. Ellenwood was voted by the coaches for 1st Team honors, becoming the first player in program history to earn 1st Team recognition. He was also voted as the NCCAA DII South Region Player of the Year.

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) named Bob Jones University Bruins women's basketball player Sarah Thomsen to the All-American teams for Division II. Thomsen was voted 2nd Team All-American.

Brunson was voted by the coaches for 1st Team honors, becoming the first player in program history to earn 1st Team recognition. She was also voted as the NCCAA DII South Region Player of the Year.
