Walter 'Karl' Walker Named NCCAA All-Region

The National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) named Bob Jones University Bruins men's soccer player Walter 'Karl Walker to the NCCAA DII South All-Region team.

Walker, a resident of Greenville, is a junior majoring in Bible.

"I'm really proud of Walter," Bruins Head Coach Jesse McCormick said. "He has worked very hard to develop his God-given abilities and this recognition is well deserved. He has been a great teammate and a good example of what a Christian student-athlete should be."

Walker was given 1st Team All-Region honors after the midfielder played everywhere for the team and made and impact on both sides of the ball.

The Bruins earned the #5 seed for the NCCAA DII National Tournament which begins November 15. The team will look to defend their 2016 national title against a strong tournament field. BJU is a member of the NCCAA and competes as a Division II institution.
