Timothy Buttram Named to Bob Jones University Chorale

Timothy Buttram of Taylors successfully auditioned into the Chorale, the premier concert and repertoire choir at Bob Jones University.

Buttram is a Senior pursuing a BA in Humanities.

The choir, comprised of 60 undergraduate and graduate students from many of the university's majors, performs on campus in full-length choral concerts and oratorio and opera productions. The Chorale will be touring later this month, performing community concerts, conducting school music festivals, and singing in churches and schools in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

The Chorale has appeared as the U.S. representative at the World Choral Festival in Seoul Korea, and was a featured performing choir at the American Choral Directors Association Southern Division Convention. It has also performed as an invited choir at international, national, NAfME and ACDA events.

Dr. Warren Cook conducts the Chorale. He studied at BJU and Westminster Choir College and earned his DMA from the University of South Carolina. In addition to his responsibilities at BJU, Dr. Cook serves as pastor of worship at Heritage Bible Church and as founder and director of Greenville's Rivertree Singers.
