Suzanna Millington Named to BJU's Chamber Harp Ensemble

Suzanna Millington of Green Bay has been named to Bob Jones University's Chamber Harp Ensemble (CHE), one of over twenty instrumental performance groups at BJU.

Millington is a Freshman majoring in Nursing.

All students at BJU are welcome to audition during summer orientation or at the beginning of each semester. In addition to meeting audition requirements, participants are enrolled in private harp lessons.

"Chamber Harp Ensemble brings together a diverse but committed group of harpists who love ensemble music," says Emily Waggoner, ensemble director. "Often it is difficult for young harpists to find enough ensemble opportunities prior to college, and this group expands their knowledge and experience of working together on a musical team."

The Chamber Harp Ensemble opened their performing year by playing at a new concert as part of the BJU High School Festival. Members of CHE will also perform for the Christmas event "Music with the Masters" at BJU Museum and Gallery. The group will also hold performances in the University chapel program, Bible Conference, and evangelistic services, as well as at local nursing care facilities and schools. In the spring, CHE will present a public recital debuting a newly commissioned work by one of BJU's composition professors, Dr. Seth Custer.
