Sarah-Paige Guerrant Named to All-Region Team

The National Christian College Athletic Association named Sarah-Paige Guerrant, a runner on the Bob Jones University Bruins women's cross country team, to the All-Region team. Runners qualify for the honor based on their finish at the South Region Tournament meet which was hosted at BJU on Saturday, Oct. 28.

"We had an excellent showing at our region meet," Bruins Head Coach Landon Bright said. "Sarah-Paige has been working hard all season and it is great to see her get recognized by the NCCAA. Each All-Region runner had their best race of the season that day and most even had lifetime bests, which is great to see at an important meet."

Sarah-Paige Guerrant, a resident of Taylors, finished 9th overall in the meet with a time of 20:11.5 earning her 1st Team All-Region honors and helping to power the Bruins to a 3rd place finish of 8 teams competing in the meet.

"We want to be running well late in October and November and I am glad Sarah-Paige was able to do that," Coach Bright said.

The cross country teams will finish the 2017 season on Saturday as the team competes in the NCCAA DII National Championship Meet in Jackson, Mississippi.
