Rebekah Anderson Elected as Women's Student Body President

Rebekah Anderson, a sophomore journalism and mass communication major from Grayson, was recently elected as the women's student body president at Bob Jones University for the 2017-2018 academic year.

"We are thankful for the group of student leaders God has brought together for the 2017-2018 academic year," said Matthew Weathers, BJU's student leadership coordinator. "They have exceptional talents and energy, and I'm excited to see how they will develop themselves, lead their peers, and serve their community."

The responsibilities of the student body president include representing the student body, meeting calendar deadlines, overseeing the Student Leadership Council (SLC), coordinating specific activities of student body meetings and projects, attending Inter-Society Council (ISC) meetings, assisting the ISC directors and community service council director with their responsibilities, working with the SLC treasurer and meeting regularly with BJU President Steve Pettit and other campus leaders.
