Rachel Westphal Named to 2017 Lyric Choir

Bob Jones University recently named Rachel Westphal of Midland to the 2017 Lyric Choir, BJU's all-women music ensemble.

Westphal is a Junior majoring in Premed/Predent.

Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester and are open to both music and non-music majors.

"I'm so excited for this year's group," says director Dr. Eliezer Yanson. "These musicians are very smart, engaging and eager to learn. I love the energy of this year's Lyric Choir and am impressed with their singing abilities."

The Lyric Choir gives two major performances each year. This year, the group will perform a Christmas concert in December and a concert in April featuring madrigals and Broadway and film music.
