Matthew Ledbetter Named to SC Student Legislature Delegation at BJU

Matthew Ledbetter was recently named to serve on the Bob Jones University delegation to the South Carolina Student Legislature for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Ledbetter, a resident of Greenville, is a junior majoring in Accounting at BJU.

"Participation in student legislature allows our students to understand more fully how government works," said Mrs. Linda Abrams, faculty member at BJU and advisor to the delegation. "Through writing legislation and debating on the floor of the State Senate and House to support the passage of their legislation, students are able to develop relationships with other students from across the state and have a front row seat forging solutions to contemporary problems."

Twelve public and private institutions of higher learning participate in the South Carolina Student Legislature. The fall session will be held at the State Capitol Oct. 22-25.
