Matthew Ledbetter Named to BJU's South Carolina Student Legislature Delegation

Matthew Ledbetter was recently named to serve on the Bob Jones University delegation to the South Carolina Student Legislature.

Ledbetter, a resident of Rock Hill, S.C. , is a sophomore majoring in accounting.

"Participation in student legislature allows our students to understand more fully how government works," said Mrs. Linda Abrams, faculty member at BJU and advisor to the delegation. "Through writing legislation and debating on the floor of the State Senate and House to support the passage of their legislation, students are able to develop relationships with other students from across the state and have a front row seat forging solutions to contemporary problems."

Fourteen public and private institutions of higher learning participate in the South Carolina Student Legislature. During the recent fall session held at the State Capitol Oct. 30 - Nov. 2, the Bob Jones University delegation was selected as the best mid-sized delegation participating in SCSL.
