Laura Hernandez to Serve as Intern for Tommy Pike Customs

Laura Hernandez, a senior journalism and mass communication major at Bob Jones University, will serve as an intern for Tommy Pike Customs.

Hernandez, a resident of Boone, will intern during the semester which runs through mid-April. Her responsibilities include assisting the marketing director with social media management, planning events, updating the Tommy Pike web site, taking photos and videos to edit together for promotions that will featured on social media platforms, working with the marketing director and the engagement manager of Shell Corporation and traveling with the business to perform social media responsibilities during live events.

Tommy Pike Customs is a local vehicle customs shop that specializes in anything from completely restoring new and old cars to oil changes and annual tune-ups. The business is owned by Tommy Pike and his wife Steph.

"What I look forward to most with my internship is learning all I can about marketing and social media management from Steph," Hernandez said.
