Kendrick Infante Serves as Student Teacher at Woodmont High School

Kendrick Infante, a senior music education major at Bob Jones University, serves as a student teacher at Woodmont High School in Piedmont, South Carolina.

Infante, a resident of Barrigada, is gaining hands-on experience working with the concert band by conducting warm-ups and rehearsals, organizing concerts and performance assessments, and working individually with students on their techniques.

"My student teaching experience is teaching me many things, but the one thing that has stuck out to me is the importance of investing in my students," said Infante. "The main purpose of teaching is not to give out instruction or to teach new material, but rather to invest in my students and show them that I truly care for them and want them to give their best in everything that comes their way."
