Kendra Jeffcott Named NCCAA Player of the Week

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) named Kendra Jeffcott of the Bob Jones University Bruins women's volleyball team as a national student-athlete of the week for her accomplishments this past week. This is the first time Jeffcott and the women's volleyball team have received the award this year.

"Kendra is an exceptional leader for her team in competition," Bruins' Athletic Director Dr. Neal Ring said. "She is very gifted athletically and is a great representation of Christ and our University."

Jeffcott fueled the Bruins offense as the women's volleyball team went 4-1 in competition last week. The senior had 46 kills in her four matches played to go along with 11 solo blocks. Jeffcott helped the Bruins secure Coach Denny's 1,000th career victory with a 3-0 win over Johnson University on Saturdaay, Oct. 15.

Jeffcott, a resident of Taylors, is a graduate student at BJU.

The Student-Athlete of the Week award is chosen by the NCCAA and recognizes the play of student-athletes in their respective sport. The Bruins compete in the NCCAA DII.
