Kendra Jeffcott Named NCCAA All-Region

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has named Kendra Jeffcott and two other Bob Jones University Bruins women's volleyball players to their DII All-Region teams. The players were selected based on their performance throughout the season, with the final first and second team selections being voted on by head coaches in the South Region.

Jeffcott, a resident of Taylors, was recognized for her great play over the course of the season and in the regional tournament. Jeffcott received the most votes for the All-Region team and was selected by the coaches as the NCCAA DII South Region Player of the Year.

"Kendra embodies what we desire in a player on our volleyball team," Bruins coach Vickie Denny said. "She loves God, others and volleyball. Kendra has been a joy to coach this season."

On Saturday, the Lady Bruins volleyball team defeated Pensacola Christian College 3-1 to capture their 1st NCCAA DII South Region Championship. In their inaugural season of competition, the Lady Bruins have burst onto the scene, finishing the season at 27-10. Their play earned them the #5 seed for the NCCAA DII National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida beginning November 17.
