Kendra Jeffcott Named As NCCAA Scholar Athlete

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) recently recognized Kendra Jeffcott as an NCCAA Scholar Athlete.

Jeffcott, a resident of Taylors, is a graduate student majoring in Biblical Counseling. Jeffcott currently has a 3.74 GPA and participates on the BJU Bruins intercollegiate women's volleyball team. .

The recognition is given to student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.40 GPA and are a junior, senior or graduate student.

"We're very proud of our student-athletes and the work they put in both in competition and in the classroom," Bruins' Athletics Director Dr. Neal Ring said. "This recognition is a demonstration of that hard work that they have put in to balance athletics with academics. They each are a great ambassador for Christ and BJU."

On and off the field of competition, Bruins student-athletes desire to bring God glory by pursuing excellence in their sport, the classroom, and their daily walk with Christ.
