Kayla Pierce Receives SCPA Award

Kayla Pierce, a junior exercise science major at Bob Jones University, was recently awarded third place in the Sports Photograph category by the South Carolina Press Association (SCPA) in its Collegiate Annual News Contest.

Pierce, a resident of Hillrose, received this award for photograph taken for BJU's weekly student newspaper, The Collegian.

The SCPA Collegiate News Contest recognizes the best in South Carolina collegiate journalism. Collegiate staff members compete against other colleges and universities in 26 different contests, including writing, design, photography, and illustration.
