Kaitlyn Unruh Awarded First Place in iNRB Competition

Kaitlyn Unruh, a senior journalism and mass communication major from Greenville, was awarded first place for the Radio/Audio, News and Sports category in the iNRB Student Production Awards Competition for her entry titled, "Race for Life."

Unruh, who also serves as the WBJU TV manager, wrote, produced, and voiced the audio news story for the Reporting for Broadcast class.

The Radio/Audio entry was judged based on artistry, originality, and creativity, the capacity to hold the audience's attention, originality in program and content, clear and captivating writing, program content and creativity, proper diction and delivery, overall production techniques, well-chosen interviews and actualities, solid dramatic tension (if needed), proper editing techniques, proper audio and video levels, and proper Christian message, themes, and values.

The Intercollegiate National Religious Broadcasters (iNRB) is committed to promoting excellence, integrity and networking opportunities in media. The iNRB seeks to provide a forum where members can network together to share ideas and goals. The iNRB, along with the student and faculty membership of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), sponsors the Student Production Awards to encourage and reward excellence in Christian Radio/Audio, TV/Video, and Film production by students.
