Kaitlyn Hummel of Florence Named to BJU Bruins Women's Soccer Team

Kaitlyn Hummel of Florence has been named to the Bob Jones University Bruins 2014-2015 women's soccer team.

Hummel, a freshman majoring in Business Administration at BJU, is a forward on the team.

The Bruins, coming off their National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) national championship year, opened their season with a 0-0 draw against Truett-McConnell College.

"I'm excited about this season," Coach Chris Carmichael said. "We have a very tight group that will fare very well with the pressure of defending our national championship. As long as we continue to honor God in how we play, and put Him as the headship to our program, I really don't think our team will feel the pressure of defending their national championship."

Bob Jones University participates as a Division II university for women's soccer in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
