Joshua Rush Named NCCAA Runner of the Week

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) named Bob Jones University Bruins men's cross country runner Joshua Rush as a national student-athlete of the week for his accomplishments in the sport this past week. This is the third time Rush has received the recognition for this season.

"Josh has done an excellent job in setting the bar high for our cross country teams this season," Bruins Athletic Director Dr. Neal Ring said. "Josh is very gifted athletically and is a great representation of Christ and our University."

Rush continued his impressive 2016 season as he helped the men's cross country team capture first place at the TFC XC Eagle Invitational at Toccoa Falls College. Rush placed 5th overall with a time of 26:53. Rush is a senior engineering major from Greenville.

The Student-Athlete of the Week award is chosen by the NCCAA and recognizes the play of student-athletes in their respective sport. The Bruins compete in the NCCAA DII.
