Jonathan Simmons Serves as Academic Resource Center Study Group Leader

Jonathan Simmons of Simpsonville serves as a group study leader in the Academic Resource Center (ARC) at Bob Jones University for Music Theory II. Simmons is a sophomore Orchestral Instrument Performance major at BJU.

The Academic Resource Center at BJU helps students build academic confidence and excel in college. The study group leaders use their skills to minister to other students who may be struggling or just need additional help in specific subjects.

"Study group leaders provide extra help outside of the classroom for students who may be struggling in a particular course," said Kristie Skaggs, Study Groups Coordinator with the ARC. "Through attending the study groups, students gain confidence and perform better academically."

Study group leaders are student volunteers. The assistance they provide to their fellow students is invaluable and appreciated by the faculty and fellow students.
