David "Micah" Rea Selected to Participate in National Student Leadership Forum

2016 Oct 21

David "Micah" Rea, a senior business administration major at Bob Jones University, has been selected to participate in the National Student Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C. Oct. 21-23.

The forum is a three-day annual event that brings together a diverse group of university leaders from across the country. It is intentionally relational as participants interact with fellow students, recent college graduates, young professionals and leaders from the political, business and social service sectors.

Core activities include keynote addresses by elected officials, small group sessions, panel discussions and more. Past speakers have included Vice President Dan Quayle, Vice President Al Gore, U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, then U.S. Senator Barack Obama, and other notable men and women.

Members of Congress, business leaders, religious leaders, and others passionate about the development of our nation's future leaders host this event. These leaders encourage students and share personal insights regarding faith and values in our culture.

Rea, a resident of Greenville, is an active pilot and the founder/president of Upstate Aeronautics and Premier Wing Aviation. He is actively involved in the Greenville community through organizing multiple events with nationally acclaimed speakers, helping small aviation businesses grow, organizing community outreach projects, and building relationships with area leaders.
