Cooper George Named to BJU Bruins Roster

Cooper George of Woodruff joins five freshmen from across the country who were named to the Bob Jones University Bruins men's intercollegiate basketball team roster for the 2014-2015 academic year. These six freshmen join five starters for the Bruins.

George was a starter for the Woodruff High School Wolverines. George averaged 10.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3 assists for the Wolverines.

"Cooper is an exceptional three point shooter," Coach Ring said. "He is very motivated and I know he is a very hard worker. He is also a local talent and we are glad he is joining our program." George will provide an outside threat for the Bruins offense.

George will be majoring in Exercise Science when classes begin at BJU September 3.

The Bruins men's intercollegiate basketball team competes in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) as a Division I university and they host Crown College of Powell, Tennessee for their home opener Sat., Nov. 1.
