BJU Bruins Name Greenville Resident to Men's Soccer Team

David Overly of Greenville has been named to the Bob Jones University Bruins men's soccer team.

The Bruins, now in their second year of intercollegiate athletics, will open their season at Southern Wesleyan University located in Central, S.C. Sat., Aug. 31. The Bruin men host their first home game Thurs., Sept. 5 against St. Andrews University, which is located in Laurinburg, N.C.

"We are excited with the new group of freshmen and transfer students to add to a great core group of returning players," said Jesse McCormick, head coach of the Bruin men's soccer team. "During the preseason, we've seen good things from the new players which has given us a good idea of who will have an immediate impact."

Bob Jones University participates as a Division I university in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). BJU competes in soccer, basketball, cross country and golf
