Alexandria Hill Named SCSHA Praxis Bowl Champion

2016 Feb 29

Alexandria Hill, a junior communication disorders major at Bob Jones University, was among four BJU students to be named the first-ever South Carolina Speech-Language-Hearing Association (SCSHA) Praxis Bowl Champions by competing in the Praxis Bowl, which was held during the SCSHA's annual convention Feb. 26. The competition was designed to assist students as they prepare for the Praxis examination in speech-language pathology.

Hill, a resident of Greenville, competed against mostly graduate speech-language pathology students from South Carolina State University and the University of South Carolina.

"We are so proud of our undergraduate students for participating in this competition against a number of graduate students from other colleges and universities," says Hannah Benge, a speech language pathologist and faculty member in BJU's communication disorders program. "Their outstanding performance showcases the knowledge they have gained at BJU. We look forward to their continuing in the field and helping to meet the need for qualified speech-language pathologists."

As one of winners of the Praxis Bowl, Hill, along with the other BJU students, will also be featured in SCSHA's "In-Touch" Magazine.
