Abigail Chetta Named to NCCAA Academic All American Team

Abigail Chetta, a junior Orchestral Performance major from Greenville, S.C., was named to the National Christian College Athletic Association's (NCCAA) Academic All American team.

"I'm proud of Abby's efforts and am pleased the NCCAA honored her," said Neal Ring, BJU athletic director. "She is a solid leader - both in the classroom and on the court. I look forward to great things from her next season."

Chetta is one of a select few student-athletes from across the country to be honored as an Academic All American. She is a guard on the Bob Jones University Bruins women's basketball team. To qualify for this award, she had to maintain a 3.5 GPA.

As a Division I university in the NCCAA, BJU Bruins compete in soccer and basketball. Beginning this fall, BJU will also compete in cross country.
