Aaron "Cooper" George Named to Scholar-Athlete Team

2016 Apr 6

Bob Jones University Bruins men's basketball guard Aaron "Cooper" George, a junior exercise science major from Woodruff, has been named to the National Christian College Athletics Association's (NCCAA) scholar-athlete team. Each scholar-athlete recognized by the NCCAA is a junior or senior who maintains a GPA of at least 3.5.

"We're very proud of our student-athletes and how hard they work on and off the court," Bruins athletics director and men's basketball coach Neal Ring said. "Cooper represents the University and our athletics program well. This recognition is well-deserved and is a testament to the work he has put in this year both on the court and in the classroom."

The men's basketball team finished the season with a 15-16 record and were eliminated in the first round of the NCCAA DI South regional playoffs with an 81-77 loss to Carver College.
